Kachi A. Ozumba is a Nigerian-born novelist and short story writer. His debut novel, The Shadow of a Smile, was shortlisted for the Royal Society of Literature Ondaatje Prize and for the Commonwealth Writers Prize. While his short stories have won the Arts Council England's Decibel Penguin Prize, the Commonwealth Short Story Prize, and have been broadcast on BBC. Kachi has been writer-in-residence at the Beverley Literature Festival, a judge of the Commonwealth Short Story Competition, and a Judge in the 2011 Lightship Literary Competitions. He lives in North Wales where he is at work on his next novel.
